Azul's Zing 4.1 Has Better PerformanceAzul has announced the release of the new Zing Elastic Software Platform at the 2011 RedHat Summit. The release of the platform provides support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.0, Kernal-based Virtual Machine (KVM), and JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 5.1. In their official press release, Azul Systems states that Zing 4.1 will allow "Java applications to unitize heap sizes greater than a half-terabyte without garbage collection pauses". The Zing 4.1 team claims to have recorded a 10-80% performance increase compared to Zing 4.0. More information about the JBoss/Azul Java interface project can be found here.
