The project manager of Jython announced
he is quitting his job at Sun. Frank Wierzbicki helped design Jython,
the Java implementation of Python, for five years while he worked at
Sun. This departure comes just four months after two JRuby developers left Sun, citing the uncertainty surrounding the Oracle acquisition as their reason.
Google decided
to give Google Apps Premier administrators tighter control over their
employees by extending Postini technology accross the company's entire
online apps suite. Currently, the Postini technology only applies to
Gmail and there is not yet a time frame on when it will cover the rest
of the suite. Does this mean more big companies will move to Apps
Premier?
Moblin 2.1
for Intel Atom based netbooks is now available. The new release has
added plugin and add-on support along with improved performance.
Moblin 2.1 now uses Clutter 1.0 for animation and updates its Linux Kernel to version 2.6.31.
The first release candidate of Thunderbird 3 is set to arrive as early as Monday.
The new email software will have tabbed email browsing with better
search capabilities and a better interface. Thunderbird 3 will also
feature better offline functionality.

However, 20 downvotes means least 20 Apple lovers didn't agree with
Wallen's assesment.
