Laszlo Szalvay on the Evolution of Scrum
Laszlo Szalvay, the President of Danube, talks to DZone about the evolution of Scrum and the current conversations around it. Danube makes the Scrum implementation software known as ScrumWorks. They are one of the largest Scrum training organizations in the world. Szalvay says he's noticed that more organizations are taking a strategic approach to Scrum implementations rather than a tactical approach.
Danube has learned many lessons about helping companies grow their Scrum operations, Szalvay explains. There are some pitfalls that companies need to avoid. Making modifications early is one pitfall, he says. Szalvay also talks about some of the things we can expect to see in the next version of ScrumWorks, Danube's free Scrum tool, and ScrumWorks Pro.
If you're just getting started with Scrum, or looking to brush up on your skills, check out the Srum Refcard, authored by Danube's Michael James. DZone also recently interviewed Michael on Scrum adoption.
