IBM Impact 2010 Keynote: Craig Hayman, GM Application & Integration Middleware, IBM

Craig Hayman is IBM's General Manager of Application & Integration Middleware.  In this keynote address at IBM Impact, Hayman addresses the need for agility in an era of change.  By the end of the address, he shows how businesses can use a multi-paradigm solution (a solution that's not simply SOA, BPM, etc.) to address change and expansion.

Companies need response systems that can deal with changes in demand.  How quickly can you build a new product to meet demand.  Businesses must be ready to respond to demand and quickly fill it.  Do you have big enough caching systems to handle the spikes in transactions?  Companies need to be able to to tie systems together quickly when onboarding another organization or entity.
